TWO MEN AND A TRUCK SWAPS HOUSES FOR GARDENS ON DAFFODIL DAY
We volunteered to help the Cancer Council celebrate their annual charity event as part of our new Moving Together Program, which aims to reach out to the community and help raise awareness of worthwhile initiatives.
“Two Men And A Truck were an amazing help in the day,” said Community Relations Coordinator Teneale Cameron.
“They were happy to assist with the set up of the Martin Place Garden in the early morning and even helped to return the furniture to their original locations at the end of the day.”
“Having the support of Two Men and a Truck helped Daffodil Day run smoothly and ensured fundraising success.”
One of our teams in Sydney awoke at 3am to pick up garden equipment and furniture from Woolloomooloo and set up a set up a lush and colourful garden in Martin Place for the event.
Three of our other teams in Sydney, ACT and Victoria also picked up and delivered tables, flowers and pot plants for fundraising activities over the four days leading up to Daffodil Day, and of course the packing and clean-up after the event.
The Cancer Council was thrilled that so many members of the public got involved on Daffodil Day, which is their biggest annual event in fighting cancer through research and awareness.
“Every daffodil and donation helped us grow hope for better treatments, hope for more survivors and hope for a cancer-free future,” Teneale said.
